Title: Wuest Word Studies in the Greek New Testament (3 Vols.)
Publisher: Eerdmans Publishing Company
Author: Kenneth Wuest

Description

Wuest Word Studies in the Greek New Testament are the collected commentary and articles written on the Greek New Testament by Dr. Kenneth Wuest that offer the Bible student who is not conversant in biblical Greek a doorway to the study of the New Testament in its original language.

A three-volume work in print, this electronic version offers detailed commentary focused on the Greek roots of the Gospel of Mark, Romans, Paul's pastoral epistles, and more. Not all New Testament books are included, however, as Dr. Wuest did not finish a complete New Testament commentary before his death.

Within its commentary on the biblical text, Wuest Word Studies includes topical word and devotional studies, as well as the following articles:

  • Gold Nuggets from the Greek New Testament
  • Bypaths in the Greek New Testament
  • Treasures from the Greek New Testament
  • Untranslatable Riches from the Greek New Testament
  • Studies in the Vocabulary of the Greek New Testament
  • Great Truths to Live By

Readers interested in Wuest Word Studies may also be interested in Wuest - The New Testament: An Expanded Translation, also available from Olive Tree. Wuest's New Testament uses as many English words as necessary to fully convey the meaning of the original Greek, in the same style as the Amplified Bible.

Kenneth Samuel Wuest (1893–1962), a noted New Testament Greek scholar of the mid-twentieth century, was a beloved professor of New Testament Greek at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and published over a dozen books on the New Testament. His Expanded Translation of the New Testament, along with the articles and word studies he wrote, are treasured by those who appreciate the nuances of the Hellenistic Greek language (or Koine Greek), a language which its author knew and loved.
